This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") is intended to provide you with the specific details about how Date Detective ("Date Detective," "we," and "us") collects and processes your personal data and personally identifiable information through your use of the Date Detective services ("Services"). The Services include the features available at date-detective.app and any applications, software, accounts, or related services provided.
You understand and agree that Date Detective may store and process your Personal Information and that by using the Services, you agree to the collection and processing of your Personal Information.
By providing Date Detective with your personal or personally identifiable data and using the Services, you warrant that you are over the age of eighteen (18) or otherwise above the age of majority within your jurisdiction. If you are younger than eighteen (18) or the age of majority within your jurisdiction, please do not use the Date Detective Services and please do not provide personal information to us.
The Services are currently only available to individuals located in the United States and Canada. If you are not located in the United States or Canada, while we appreciate your interest, we cannot provide the Services to you at this time.
Through your use of and access to the Services, we may collect personal or personally identifiable information from you ("PII"). PII may include any information capable of identifying an individual.

Date Detective may collect data about you through cookies and other technologies. This helps Date Detective understand how you use the Services and to understand any patterns that may be associated with your use of the Services. This aids Date Detective in developing or improving its Services in response to your needs or wants.
Date Detective may use session or persistent cookies. Session cookies are only stored on your computer or mobile device during your use of the Services and are automatically deleted when you close your web browser. Persistent cookies are stored as a file on your computer or mobile device that remain on your computer or mobile device even after you close your web browser. Persistent cookies can be read by the Services that created the cookie when you revisit it again. Date Detective may use persistent cookies when it utilizes Google Analytics or other analytics providers, which is intended to track the origin and behavior of traffic to the Services. You can manually delete previously stored cookies. Please note that if you choose to block cookies, doing so may impair the functionality of our Services.

Date Detective may send you marketing communications if you have asked for information concerning its Services or if you have agreed to, and have not opted out from, receiving marketing communications. You may ask Date Detective to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by following the opt-out link in any marketing message sent to you or adjusting the settings in your account, if you have one. If you opt out of receiving marketing communications, your opt-out does not extend to PII provided for other purposes.

Date Detective may also transfer PII to third parties when it sells, transfers, or merges any part of its business or assets.
Date Detective requires all third parties that receive a transfer of PII from Date Detective to maintain the same level of respect for the protection of PII as Date Detective and Date Detective only allows third parties to process your personal data for the specific purposes listed in this privacy policy.
Date Detective has put into place data security measures to protect your PII. Date Detective allows access to your PII only by employees and service providers who have a need to know or access your PII on WPM's instructions. Date Detective will notify you and any regulatory body of any breach of your PII or WPM's security measures if it is legally required to do so.
Date Detective will retain your data for purposes of providing the Services. In the event your account is deactivated, Date Detective does not delete the data therein.
User data refers to data and PII we collect about you through your interactions or use of Date Detective. Data requests including opt outs and requests for data deletion do not impact user-generated content, such as connections or posts.
Right To Know / Right To Access / Right To Portability: You may obtain a copy of your user data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, up to 2 times per 12 month period, free of charge. If you would like to request a copy of your user data, including information that identifies any third-party companies or individuals that Date Detective has shared your user data with in the previous calendar year, as well as a description of the categories of personal or personally identifiable information disclosed to that third party, please email privacy@date-detective.app. In order for us to process your request, you must contact us using the email associated with your Date Detective account, so we can verify your authority for the request.
Right To Correct: You may correct your user data maintained by Date Detective by editing your information through account settings, or emailing us at privacy@date-detective.app. If you choose to request a correction through email, then you must contact us using the email associated with your Date Detective account, so we can verify your authority for the request. Please note that correcting your user data will not impact the data we receive from third party sources, and will not impact investigation report results.
Right To Opt Out: Date Detective does not sell user data or data obtained from user-generated content. Date Detective offers an investigation report feature in the United States only. If would like to opt out from having your public information included in our investigation report search results, please complete the investigation report opt out form and select your record to start the process. To fulfill your request, you will need to provide an email address, which you must verify to complete the opt out process. You may be required to provide additonal information if we have a good faith reason to believe you are not the individual associated with the opt out request record. Opt out requests are free of charge. Information collected will be used solely for the purpose of processing your request. Investigation reports leverage data from third party sources. Opting out from Date Detective will not remove your information from its original third-party source.
Right To Delete: You may choose to delete your user data maintained by Date Detective. If you choose to delete your user data, we must delete your account and all data related to your account, to the extent required by law. In accordance with the law, we will still maintain your information as required to fight fraud, to enforce billing agreements, to use as evidence in legal matters, or otherwise where necessary and legally permitted. If you would like your account and data to be deleted, please email privacy@date-detective.app. In order for us to process your request, you must contact us using the email associated with your Date Detective account, so we can verify your authority for the request. Please note that deleting your user data will not impact the data we receive from third party sources, and will not impact investigation report results.
Right To Non-Discrimination: Date Detective will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your data rights.
Federal Judiciary Requests (Daniel's Law): If you are a Federal Judge or a senior, recalled or retired Federal Judge, a spouse, parent, sibling or child of one, or you live with any of these persons, and want to submit an opt out request pursuant to Daniel's Law, please email privacy@date-detective.app. In order for us to support your request, please provide your complete name, date of birth, city and state of residence, phone number and email address. If you are not a Federal Judge, you must also provide the name of the Federal Judge and your relationship to him/her. This information will be used solely to process your request.
Date Detective's Services may include links to third party Services and applications. By clicking on third party links, you may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. Date Detective does not control these third-party links and you are advised to review their respective privacy policies.
Whenever Date Detective changes its Privacy Policy, we will post those changes to this Privacy Policy and other places that we deem appropriate. Your use of the Date Detective Services following these changes indicates your consent to the practices described in the revised Privacy Policy.
